The 2s and 3s are learning as their world is expanding.  Through guidance and exploration, our toddlers enjoy learning experiences that promote their growing independence and social skills, while encouraging their self-confidence. There is a strong emphasis on language development and early concepts as they relate to the ever expanding world around them.

Our 3s and 4s are natural investigators.  Exploration and discovery come easy for them.  We follow their enthusiasm and interests and allow them to blossom as they refine and expand their skills and knowledge. Through intentional teaching practices, purposefully-designed learning environments, and enriched activities, we ensure preschoolers have fun and meaningful learning experiences. 

This is an important time for children to learn concrete skills related to math, science, literacy and social studies.  They learn to ask critical questions and are encouraged to explore ideas, observe and build on their natural curiosity.  Social skills are also emphasized so that community is built through honest communication, shared values and good citizenship.  

The emphasis at this stage is to build independence and discipline as children are preparing for elementary school.  At this age they are building the academic foundation that will ensure success upon entering 1st grade. they are reading, writing, problem-solving and reasoning.  These children are also noticing and understanding more about the world around them.  They begin studying their family, community and city.  Its an exciting year that prepares them to enter the most competitive grade schools and succeed. 

After school is a critical time and we invest wisely in our children during this period.  We offer pick-up, a healthy snack, homework help and enrichment activities.  Children learn through collaborative and individual project based activities.  Academic, social and emotional development are critically important for children in grades k-8. 

Summer camp at BTW combines academic enrichment, the arts and recreation to make for the most fun experience.  Children enjoy trips throughout the five boroughs and plenty of exciting days such as fields day, community service projects and Rainy Day carnivals.  No child ever complains of boredom.  There is a staff that is smart, energetic and nurturing.  Summer camp is filled with memories that last a lifetime.
